CD

Presented here are invocations of the feminine, dynamic/power aspects of divinity, using many of the most revered mantras of the Vedic tradition.

This program is the CD version of the audio cassette Feminine Power Mantra Meditations, first produced in 1997. However, since that program was completed, the book Shakti Mantras has been published. Therefore this extended program also includes selected mantras from that book; more than a dozen additional mantras are presented in this new version of the program.

Most of the mantras presented here are chanted 54 or 108 times each so you can conveniently chant along for extended periods. Some of the longer mantras are chanted from 3 to 12 times each. This program includes:

  • Saraswati Mantras - For proficiency in the arts, sciences, spritual pursuits, education, music, and the power of divine speech.

  • Gayatri Mantra - Most revered mantra for spiritual illumination in the Vedic tradition.

  • Parvati Mantras - A feminine-based way, through mantra, for becoming Shiva.

  • Lakshmi Mantras - For all types and kinds of spiritual and material abundance.

  • Durga and Chamundi Mantras - For protection from negativities, for bestowing power, and for pointing the way to liberation.

  • Kali Mantras - The fast, often bumpy road to spiritual advancement.

  • Lalita Mantra - Tantric goddess of one of the highest and most esoteric of spiritual paths, Sri Vidya.

  • Kuan Yin Mantras - Feminine form of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshwara, revered embodiment of compassion and protection throughout East Asia.

  • Tara Mantra - Revered in Tibet as the protector from the eight great fears in life.

  • Devi Mahatmyam Verses - Salutations to the many qualities of the Divine Mother.

  • Mantras for Divine Love (Prema) - Requesting the manifestation of Divine Love in our lives.
