For the first time. A traditional puja (Hindu Worship Ceremony) is recorded as conduct ed by a Western Vedic Priest trained in the Eastern Rites since 1973. Satyabhama (Margalo Ashley-Farrand), Namadeva’s wife, performs the puja with him as she has done since 1983. She is a Vedic Priest certified through Sanatana Dharma Satsang.
Namadeva (Thomas Ashley-Farrand) was taught puja by Sadguru Sant Keshavadas who passed the lineage to his wife, Guru Mata, before his departure from the body. Now with her blessings this Pancha Devata Puja is offered to five deities: Ganesha, Dattatreya, Shiva, Lakshmi and Saraswati.
This ceremony will provide powerful vibrations of dynamic peace wherever it is played. Mantras for any of the deities in this puja can be chanted before, during or after viewing the puja to achieve progress on one’s spiritual path.
A deeper explanation of the scriptures chanted is provided on the second DVD. There you will find English transliterated text of the puja on PDF files viewable on a computer. They can be printed out for your study. Also on the second DVD is background information for various portions of the puja.
This program is a multi-camera shoot of exceptional quality, directed and edited by Emmy Award winning Director David Gumpel. It comes with an insert of mantras that can be used for chanting along with the program.
